MARY LOW
CONCEPTUAL ARTIST

As a conceptual artist, Mary Low draws from her own direct experiences, repeatedly layering and shaking them like a snow globe to capture the essence and intensity of remembered events or situations. From an early age, Mary has engaged in both mark-making and walking in the countryside, and in recent years, these two activities have converged. She walks over 2000 miles annually in the hills and mountains of Britain, transforming abstract concepts, emotions, and the passage of time into tangible visual forms.
